To the Max!

In case you're not already buzzed from Redbull, Starbucks Double Shot or Monster, you can now purchase your daily dose of energy enhancing ingredients from a simple can of Pepsi! Pepsi Max, which has been available in Europe for the past fifteen years, has been kept away from the American market due to a major ingredient (acesulfame potassium) the could not pass standards passed by the FDA. Today, the commercial for Diet Pepsi Max (which features consumers being affected by an almost seizure like energy rush) mentions high dosages of ginseng and over twice the caffeine of regular Diet Pepsi. So, if you're a fan of unnaturally high levels of caffeine and questionable artificial sweeteners, I think it might be best for you to blindly follow the commands of Pepsi Max's straight-to-the-point tagline and just "WAKE UP PEOPLE!"

A Plume Please

Birds of a feather . . . start new indie fashion trends? Plumage headbands, all the rage on Urban Outfitters were once an overinflated avant garde accessory, deamed strictly unreasonable in "real life" (Prada turbans anyone?) However, feathered hair accessories are currently gracing the pages of this month's issue of Nylon and editorials in fashion publications everywhere. Pluma Shop.com (featured in Nylon) now sells these delicately daffy creations at $48 a pop. So. High fashion statement, or overrated indie indulgence? I'm still thinking about it.

Hantenshi "Vomit Dark Thoughts"

Stumbled across Hantenshi's deviantART journal. I'm loving her photographs of architecture and nature. The unique use of light and color gives the photograph an almost barren feeling. Her study of portrait and the body is also raw in its simplicity. View original photo and Hentenshi's deviantART journal here.
